A RESTLESS STORY
When Restless was founded in 2016 as an Instagram page, it was with the aim of honouring the best of contemporary architecture. The name “Restless” emerged from the founder Christian Trampedach’s childhood experiences, where his school teachers constantly reminded him about his restlessness. They wanted Christian to change; to become more relaxed and focused. As a child, it is never fun to be judged by teachers – especially when the teachers label parts of your identity as a disability. Instead of changing his personal traits as requested by his teachers, Christian embraced his “disability” by considering its benefits; a strong curiosity to learn and do new things and not being afraid of taking chances.
Christian’s benefits of being restless are today also the core values of our publication. Restless is raw, authentic, innovative, and curious. By being consistent and professional, we dedicate ourselves to create value and be transparent in anything we publish. As a result, our Instagram page @restless.arch reached 1.000.000 followers on Instagram after just 3 years. In the beginning of 2020, Restless Living was launched as an e-Magazine telling the exclusive stories behind some of the most amazing homes in the world. Restless Living is communicating these stories in a way where all individuals – regardless of profession – can enjoy the e-Magazines and get inspired by the words of the architects.
